How This Centre Works
| A Smartpur Centre works as a one-stop community service and development hub in rural areas. It connects people with government welfare schemes, digital services, financial inclusion programs, and livelihood opportunities. The centre conducts awareness programs, digital literacy and skill development trainings, supports youth in accessing employment opportunities, and empowers women through entrepreneurship and self-employment initiatives. It also assists farmers and community members in availing banking services, insurance schemes, and social protection benefits. By bringing essential services closer to the community, the Smartpur Centre helps improve livelihoods, promote inclusive development, and create sustainable opportunities for rural households. |

Centre Facilitator, SEMBEDU
Sivaraj .Saranya, aged 36, is a B.com graduate who was previously a homemaker. She belongs to a family of four members, where her husband was the Farmer, and his income was often insufficient to meet the family's needs and household expenses. Her life changed when REACHA NGO, with the support of NOKIA, established the Smartpur Centre in Sembedu Panchayat and provided her with an opportunity to work as a Community Facilitator. This role enabled her to work within her own village while serving the community through awareness programmes and essential services. The opportunity has not only helped her become financially independent but has also brought recognition and respect within her community. With a stable income and meaningful work, her family's financial condition has improved significantly, and today she and her family are living a happy, confident, and better life.

Who we serve
The Smartpur Center serves rural and underserved communities by focusing on women, youth, farmers, self-help group (SHG) members, students, senior citizens, and marginalized households. It works to ensure that individuals have access to government welfare schemes, digital and financial services, skill development opportunities, and livelihood support. Through community engagement and partnerships with local stakeholders, the center addresses the diverse needs of the population and promotes inclusive and sustainable development. Its goal is to empower every community member by improving their knowledge, opportunities, and overall quality of life.

The Smartpur Center has addressed key challenges in rural communities, such as limited access to digital services, lack of awareness of government welfare schemes, financial exclusion, and livelihood opportunities. Through awareness programs, digital literacy initiatives, skill development trainings, and financial inclusion activities, the center has helped connect communities with essential services. It has supported women, youth, and farmers by linking them to government schemes, banking services, and entrepreneurship opportunities. By promoting community participation and working with local stakeholders, the Smartpur Center has contributed to improving social and economic well-being at the grassroots level.
