Our Initiatives Transforming Lives

Community Context
Who we serve
At Smartpur Centres, we serve diverse beneficiaries through the delivery of essential services, digital literacy programs for children, combined awareness and financial literacy camps and skill-based training for men and women. We further provide home-visit support services to Persons with Disabilities (PwDs). Our interventions also reach a significant proportion of the Scheduled Tribe population.
Challenges addressed
• Livelihood & Cooperative Development: The Centre played a pivotal role in the registration of “The Hamnadi Milk Producer’s Cooperative Ltd.” with the Department of Cooperatives. It also facilitated the establishment of a Milk Collection Unit worth Rs. 4-5 lakhs in partnership with JKMPCL. This initiative enables local dairy farmers to receive fair prices for milk at their doorstep, eliminating the need for a 6 km trek down the hill twice daily. • Service Continuity During Seasonal Constraints: The Centre effectively addresses challenges posed by seasonal migration and the Annual Amarnath Yatra. During the pilgrimage season, strict vehicular cut-off times and security restrictions often disrupt movement. Through proactive planning and doorstep service delivery, supported by strong community mobilization and stakeholder partnerships, the Centre ensures uninterrupted access to essential services, awareness programmes and livelihood opportunities.
